ORIES NETBALL:
Ories netball first began in the 1970's, but dropped out for a few years as numbers dwindled . In 2012, our netball teams were resurrected and has been going strong for 12 years now with 5 teams entered in the Wellington competition. In 2024 our top team will be competing in the Premier Grade for the first time. Our second team currently in the Senior Grade and we have 3 Social teams, potentially more.

From STRENGTH to STRENGTH!

The Ories Netball Club has grown in its 12 year old resurgence, one that has seen an increase of teams, coaches and volunteers. We have continued to target growth and progression with the ambition of being pure and genuine to the O-Way. Those that have contributed to the development of Ories Netball have done so with steadfast and consistent energy.
Liana Komiti continues to be the front and face of Ories Netball, carrying a good brunt of the administration and juggling the promotion and marketing of the club since stepping into the role of Club Captain. She is joined by Lega Fa'atau and Lina Malagamaali'i to steer the Ories Netball ship. A couple of the club's mainstays in recent years have been the power couple of Henry and Anita Ma'alo. They have in the last 4 years taken the Ories top side from promotion to promotion and as such, have earned Ories a Premier Grade berth in 2024. They are your typical illustration of what Ories is about - Family. Volunteers are hard to come by, but it's always special when a couple unite to contribute as a great combination! |
